IT IS YOUR JOB TO CHECK THE DRIVER EDUCATION WEBSITE TO KNOW WHETHER OR NOT YOU'RE IN A CLASS, AND 0R RANGE. THIS IS OUR MAIN WAY TO COMMUNICATE. PHONE AND EMAIL WILL BE OUR LAST RESORT AND WILL ONLY BE USED IF NEEDED.
The classroom portion of Driver Education consists of 27 hours of in seat instruction time. The DLD Handbook will be followed and work will include, but not limited to: notes, participation, group work, quizzes, and tests. Handbooks will be provided the first day of class but they are also available online by clicking on the Handbook link below. If more than 45 students sign-up for a class, students that are oldest get first priority to be in the next class. If that happens and you end up not being in the class, you will automatically be added to the roll for the next class. One class will be offered every month of the year. Classes will be either two or three hour sessions until the 27 hour requirement is meant. Classes will be taught either AM (2 hours before school) or PM (3 hours after school). Summer hours could be different.
Some expectations for the classroom:
*MORE INFORMATION WILL BE GIVEN OUT THROUGH A DISCLOSURE DOCUMENT WHEN CLASS STARTS
*CLASS DATES AND TIMES WILL BE BASED ON TEACHER AVAILABILITY
