CLASSROOM REQUIREMENTS
IT IS YOUR JOB TO CHECK THE DRIVER EDUCATION WEBSITE TO KNOW WHETHER OR NOT YOU'RE IN A CLASS, AND 0R RANGE. YOU WILL BE PLACED IN THE CLASS (MONTH) YOU SIGN UP FOR WHEN FILLING OUT THE GOOGLE FORM. THE SFHS DRIVER EDUCATION IS OUR MAIN WAY TO COMMUNICATE ALL INFORMATION.
IN ORDER TO SIGN UP FOR A CLASS YOU HAVE TO A NON EXPIRED LEARNER LEARNER PERMIT. The classroom portion of Driver Education consists of 27 hours of in seat instruction time or 30 hours of on-line instruction. The DLD Handbook will be followed and work will include, but not limited to: notes, participation, group work, quizzes, and tests. Handbooks will be provided the first day of class but they are also available online by clicking on the Handbook link below. Click HERE to get an online Handbook. *Class sign-up is based on the month you chose when filling out the Google Form. We will not "bump" students out of class because older students have waited to take Driver Ed. Classes will be either two or three hour sessions until the 27 or 30 hour requirement is fulfilled. Classes will be taught either AM (2 hours before school) or PM (2-3 hours after school), hybrid, or fully online. Summer hours could be different. Expectations for the classroom:
*If students attend class, listens, participates, completes homework assignments and reads the Handbook, he/she will have no trouble passing the class. *MORE INFORMATION WILL BE GIVEN OUT THROUGH A DISCLOSURE DOCUMENT WHEN CLASS STARTS *If you pay on-line for Driver Ed please stop by the Finance Office, get your learner permit copied, scan the QR code and fill out the Google Form. *If we don't have a copy of your Learners Permit and you haven't filled out the Google Form at the Finance Office, you cannot be in a driver education class.
